September 4th 2026 Announcement - Jericho - 09-04-2026

Hi Fellow CatholicHangout Members!
I apologize for this late announcement. My Mom is not feeling well (feeling weak from bad medicine), and things happening at my job and my church.
After Much prayers and discernment and seeking God’s advice, I have posted this announcement. Before I begin, let me start with St. Paul in 1st Corinthians Chapter 13:
If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal
And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing
If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated
it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.f
Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing.
For we know partially and we prophesy partially, but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away.
So faith, hope, love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love
For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love and self-control
He saved us and called us to a holy life, not according to our works but according to his own design and the grace bestowed on us in Christ Jesus before time began, but now made manifest through the appearance of our savior Christ Jesus, who destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel for which I was appointed preacher and apostle and teacher.
In short, love wills the good of the other. As St. Pope John Paul II once said, Love is being a gift of self to another. It would not be loving of me to break my promise to Don, even if this forum comes to an end. He and I made a formal agreement to now allow it as I trusted his wisdom on these matters.
Does this mean the forum will come to an end - No. No one can predict the future except Jesus or God. God Himself is the master of the Universe and all time belongs to him. He loves all of us and encourages us to love one another as He loved us. He died for all of our sins and those who continue to persecute our beliefs. We must love God and our neighbor.
In regards to politics, let me state the following:
- There shall not be any threads discussing politics.
- If you want to have a private discussion on politics, that is what our private messaging system is for. However, anything that is shared in private in a public post will be deleted to protect the dignity of users. CatholicHangout does not get involved with personal disputes between one or more users.
- As stated, there are other platforms that have politics. One of them is PolticsForum which has been active since 2002. I will be happy to help you research and find other forums if that forum will not suffice.
In regards to historical topics, let me state the following:
- What we can try is a trial run. Let’s see how historical topics can work out.
- Try to make the historical post from an educational standpoint. If you are unsure, please pray during Adoration, in front of the Tabernacle, at a shrine or some time during Mass to see God’s guidance.
- If you are using a source in your post, please add a citation as if you are writing a paper (i.e. an Essay on History of Rome by XYZ author). I will be sure to post a link on “How to cite this way or that way” type resource. Otherwise, you are better off posting a link
