Welcome to the Catholic Hangout
Happy 250th Independence Day!

Wow! 250 years ago! America decalred it's independence! This year is also the 800th Franciscan jubilee year as well!

I listened to the Catholic Theologian Jeff Cavins this morning as he did a theological study on the American Flag - Red (Jesus's Divinity and door post in Exodus) White (Saints and wedding garment), Blue (Jesus's Humanity and the Blessed Mother). Jeff Cavins also mentioned today is more than independence from Great Britain. It is independence from the sin of slavery as mentioned in Exodus.

Let's us reflect on the 250 years of our history from discovering America and founding fathers to today
In the Name of The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen!
Lord Jesus, thank you for this great nation
I pray as a nation we go with you and letting you guide our nation to salvation
I pray we continue to be instruments of your peace helping our citizens and those who are in need. Amen.
In the Name of The Father, the Son and The Holy Spirit. Amen!
