Think about it, is there any other object that we know of that exists today that actually touched the body of Christ? We have the last supper chalice, or Holy Grail, but no one knows where it is if it still exists, but the shroud of Turin is real and is being traced to the time of Jesus.
My spine tingles at the thought that I might be looking at the actual image of Christ. As an erstwhile genomics scientist, the thought of sequencing his DNA is astounding.
I am also being careful. Some people I know lost their faith when the shroud was thought to be a mediaeval fake in the '80s. My faith will stand regardless of whether the Turin shroud depicts Christ or not and will not be dependent on it.
Yea, I don't see why someone's faith would even be shaken if it turns out to not be from 2000 years ago. All it would mean is that it isn't The Shroud.
