That was a fact of life back then.... Never happened to me, but I was threatened a few times...

I can remember having my mouth washed out with soap. A childhood friend was over and was poking at me to say a bad word. She wouldnt relent so I finally said it. Which was when she went and told my mother! lol. THEN she had the audacity to ask my mother if she could watch my punishment. My mother was so mad. She sent her home! That child is trouble to this day. 

The world has changed so. Last night I was to be a chaperone for a dance however it was cancelled after we had a school lock down. Not a drill but an actual threat of some kind. When did the school house get so complicated? Pray pray pray
