I am new to this whole situation and had a great laugh at the name of Lurkers. I have never heard of that before, but it sounds pretty funny. I’m guessing that most people are curious, read the posting but don’t have anything substantial to say…..
I will try not to be a lurker ?
I’m sorry to hear about your friend. For sure there were a lot of people who had adverse reactions. Obtaining an exemption is a right that should be respected for everyone.
I know it’s a controversial issue for some people, but it should not be.
One thing that has happened is a big reduction in vaccinations overall now and I guess time will tell how things continue to evolve.
Hi Dave,
I agree with you about it being one of the many coronaviruses out there now. Nothing puts invisible force fields around us (not magical smoothies or excessive doses of vitamin D or vaccines). Understanding how the immune system works is just being responsible, being empathetic towards those who are still afraid, but we should be respectful of others and move forward. The flu is consistently bad for certain populations every year, coronaviruses do not mutate to be more lethal with time but transmission gets increased why lethality goes down (they don’t want to kill their host)…. Most people it’s a common cold but when it’s combined with flu or pneumonia then of course it’s going to be worse….
Even the flu shot is the best guess. Removing all processed foods from the diet, getting consistent regular exercise is very important.Depending on where you live get your vit d checked and try to keep your level around 50 ( unless you have a condition your doctor says you should not of course).

I wouldn't be surprised if it were a Pfizer or Astra-zeneca product. There were two others, as well.
But the details are scant.

I went along with this for the first three shots, the first two basic shots and the first booster. It may have been necessary at the time for the world to go back to normal, even if the benefit of the shots was somewhat illusory. I know some fully vaccinated people who came down with very severe cases of COVID. Maybe they would have been worse without the shots. Who knows?
I have not had a shot in about three years and see no reason to now. COVID is pretty much endemic in the population at this point. Coming down with COVID is hardly a death sentence now and is not much worse than a cold for many people. Consequently, in my opinion, the risk of continuously taking these shots is greater than the risk of getting COVID for most people. My approach in general is to focus on maintaining a healthy immune system. There is evidence that reliance on vaccines actually weakens one's immune system in the long run.
I know people who continue to get regular booster. This is their choice. There should be no judgment one way or the other.
Good points Armand.
