Today is the feast day of St. Pope John Paul II. He is the author of the books Love and Responsibility and the Theology of the Body.

There is also a poetry book called The Place Within which has St. Pope John Paul II’s poetry. I gave a copy to my father, who wrote and published some poetry books, and my Dad was amazed at his deep, poetic thoughts.

Sadly, I have not met Pope John Paul II in person, during his pontificate, before his passing in April 2005. I will be praying for those who are married, families, and anyone who needs healing

Tomorrow is Good Friday. It is the day that Christ died for our sins. It is also the first day for the Divine Mercy Novena.
Good Friday (today) marks the beginning of the Novena. In her diary, St. Faustina wrote what Christ told her about the Novena:
“I desire that during these nine days you bring souls to the fountain of My mercy, that they may draw there from strength and refreshment and whatever grace they have need of in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death.
